Kids Ministry

Trinity Kids Ministry has something for every age and for every family circumstance. We believe in the importance of supporting families and ministering with Kids with the good news of who Jesus is. Every minute that we have with a child matters, and we work hard to make sure every second counts. With our kids ministry, we provide age appropriate discipleship programming and resources to support parents.

What to expect:

We understand that trusting your children into our care is a big deal, and knowing what to expect may be comforting. All adult volunteers who work with children and youth are background checked and undergo a Safe Sanctuaries training. Safe Sanctuaries is a policy that we follow to keep children safe and to make sure that we have a healthy and inviting environment. When you bring your children to worship, you will be invited to sign your children in if they would like to participate in Kids Church. This sign in helps us to have the necessary contact information and anything that we need to know about your child. Kids Church takes place during worship, and kids from 4 years old through 5th grade may participate. Kids Church begins after the children’s message during worship, and an adult leader will usher the kids to Kids Church. Kids Church takes place in our children’s worship space. For nursery aged children (ages 0-4) we have a well equipped nursery available so that they may remain in the nursery during worship. The nursery also has a sign in, and will always have at least two Safe Sanctuary trained adults present. Children are not required to be in the nursery or Kids Church. These are great options for children to grow in their faith with age appropriate lessons, and we will always seek to be hospitable to every family’s needs.

Pre-K

Children begin developing from the second that a child is born, and we believe that Jesus’ love has something extremely important for every stage. That is why we take great care in our ministry with children between the ages of 0-4. Every Sunday morning at 9:00 we have a nursery Sunday School small group. This small group time has an interactive Bible lesson with activities and videos that are designed to speak to children in a way that they can learn and understand. Our dedicated volunteers are background checked and Safe-Sanctuaries trained. We believe in the importance of having a safe and loving environment for children to learn and grow in the love of Jesus. Kindergarten -5th Grade

So much development happens between kindergarten and 5th grade! Kids begin to become much more active in their learning, curiosity, and they start to find activities that they enjoy. No kid is alike, and yet the love of Jesus has something life-giving and important for every child no matter their personality, background, or development stage. Every Sunday morning during worship, all children have the opportunity to worship in Kids Church. In Kids Church, every child has the chance to worship and learn with an interactive Bible lesson and activities that are designed with child-development in mind. We believe in the importance of having a safe and loving environment for children to learn and grow in the love of Jesus. Family Approach

We believe that every moment we have with a child or youth in the church matters! Every moment counts because we realize that our time with kids is limited during the week. That is why we are passionate about supporting families. The curriculum that we use is from Think Orange which is a discipleship program that provides insight and resources for bringing families together with the light of the church. Parents/guardians by far have the most significant impact on the lives of children and their faith. Trinity Kids Ministry provides free resources for parents and guardians as you raise your children through every stage. We also have special times throughout the year in which we host activities that are designed to bring families together. The light of the church, and the heart of the home coming together is how we hope to impact the lives of children and families with the love of Jesus!
